Tiny Bravery

Considerably my best Golden Finch photo ever!

Golden Finches fascinate me. He and his little female friend flew from my tree to the neighbours several times. She always followed him so I imagine he's her protector! It was interesting because I stood under the tree and took many photos of this guy in the branches. I tried to get a shot with both of them in it but she was too hidden.

This guy flew down onto the deck which surprised me. He was very close to where I was standing and more often and not they always fly off if I appear in the yard. These guys are fierce too. This guy in particular didn't take no for an answer when he tried to eat seed with the doves. The doves tried to scare him off but he refused to leave!

So much strength in such a tiny bird!
